Books for Needy Pastors

In the Philippines, ACTION's Pastoral Leadership Development ministry is trying to assist many of the 41,000 untrained pastors. Many of these pastors make less than $20 monthly and, therefore, have no funds to purchase study Bibles and books to help them in their ministry of preaching and teaching the Word of God.

ACTION regularly prints sets of books that are distributed to needy pastors. Following is information on the latest book set: We are presently planning to publish a set of four books for 1300 pastors. The set is valued at over $30, but we are able to publish it for only $5.50. This is good news, but we will need a total of US$7150 (1300 sets x $5.50). This is a large amount for us.

The current books that are being produced:

"Written in Stones" by Philip Graham Ryken
"Praying by the Spirit" by Roberth V. Rakestraw
"Rediscovering the Lost Treasure of Family Worship" by Jerry Marcellino
