Rafael served in the US Air Force for 11 years (active duty and reserve). He and Susan are members and the first home grown missionaries of Faith Bible Church of Vallejo, California.  They were first sent off to the Philippines in 2005 to serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators, seconded to SIL Philippines.  Instead of the support role they were doing with SIL, they felt they were called to reach lost souls for Christ, thus they needed to find a new mission agency, which led them to ACTION.  They currently reside in Antipolo City, Philippines. Rafael and Susan have three children, Bryan (left behind in California), Amanda, and Joshua (students at Faith Academy Taytay, Rizal). Rafael and Susan named their ministry Siloam (meaning sent) after the passage in the Bible found in John 9:7.
