Nathan and Carol have a strong Christian heritage and both accepted Christ at an early age. Nathan is a missionary kid, whose parents worked in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He graduated from York University with a psychology degree and has worked in various vocations and ministries, including working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Growing up with a missionary background, Nathan felt a growing desire to serve overseas.

Carol was born in India and left at the age of six to live in Canada with her family. She had a consistent, Christian influence through her parents and her church developing a love for children and teaching. She received degrees in English and Education at York University. While attending Intervarsity Christian Fellowship, she met Nathan, who introduced her to the possibility of working overseas in ministry. They were married in 1999 and have three children, Caleb, Miriam, and Hannah. Nathan and Carol have a desire to work specifically with children and believe that God has directed them to work in ACTION, in His service.

Nathan and Carol are presently raising the necessary financial and prayer support, and preparing themselves for ministry to the Philippines.
