Water control & sewer project at the Africa New Life Ministries Dream Center

Jerry & Cindy Prouty have been missionaries in Rwanda since 2006. The Proutys serve alongside the staff of Africa New Life Ministries to assist them in practical ways. Their responsibilities have included repairing copiers, managing construction projects, designing office spaces, creating Excel workbooks to ease manual processes, mentoring young adults, teaching people basic food safety and managing the Africa New Life Ministries missionary houses.
Jerry has been busy lately with a water control and sewer project at the Africa New Life Ministries Dream Center property to manage rainwater on the six acres because of uncontrolled erosion in recent years. This project has involved building several retaining walls, grading slopes, paving parking areas, and building a system for harvesting rain water to save for the dry season. One phase of the sewer project involved installing two 10,000 liter tanks. One tank recycles toilet wastewater into the same toilets after going through a filtration system. The other tank has fresh water for cooking and sanitation. This will greatly increase the health of the people in this area!
