Serving the marginalized people of the world has been Tyler's passion ever since a young age. Growing up in the suburbs of Seattle, Washington Tyler knew how blessed he was in all aspects of life. Knowing that other people did not have the same opportunities he had was always on his mind.
During high school Tyler realized that God had called him to help those in need all across the world and began dedicating his life to serving them. Tyler believes that addressing the physical needs of those suffering from disease, hunger, and poverty is key to spreading the Gospel in the 21st century.
In the spring of 2009 Tyler interned with ACTION Zambia teaching basic computer skills to 25 pastors. While in Zambia he saw the tremendous need for economic development because most of the people he encountered suffered from the oppressive nature of poverty.
Tyler will be living and working on the Ciyanjano Center outside of Lusaka, Zambia helping to make the property economically sustainable as well as doing other things like media production, donor engagement and research and development for future income generation projects.
