Ed and Janet joined ACTION in 1982 after graduating from Prairie Bible College. They arrived in Manila in March 1984 where they have served until today. The Landrys' five children have all graduated from Faith Academy. Ed helped establish the Bible League's Church Planting Institute in 1987. For the past eight years the Landrys have been developing a church-based enterprise system making it possible for very poor churches to become self supporting. This ministry is called Village Handcrafters. The Landrys have also directed the Philippine field of the White Fields ministry from 1986 to 2001. White Fields trains and supports Filipino church planters.
