Carl and Lisa are involved with the Honest Hands Discipleship Home ministry for former street boys, and school dropouts. Carl helps with administration and Bible teaching at Honest Hands. Lisa is involved with home schooling and is a busy mom of four boys. The Loewens joined ACTION in 1998 and have been serving in the Philippines since 2000.

Ministry Summary: Honest Hands Discipleship Home disciples, encourages and challenges young men from rough backgrounds (street kids, school drop outs, squatter kids) to grow strong and deepen their faith in Jesus Christ as they serve Him. Up to ten young men spend nine months at Honest Hands in the long term discipleship program, and are involved in a tutorial program as well as Bible classes that help them learn to live the Christian life and follow Jesus each day.

50 young men have graduated from the long term discipleship program and more than 100 young men have attended discipleship camps held at Honest Hands.
