Joshua comes from a non-Christian background and came to trust Christ as Saviour during his final year of agriculture studies at Allahabad in November 1977. His decision to follow Christ led him to serve the Lord with EFICOR in Nagaland for 2 ½ years. Then the Lord opened the way for him to attend a 4 year Bible degree program at Prairie Bible Institute in Canada. On returning to India he served with Operation Mobilisation in the state of Uttar Pradesh for 7 ½ years. He finally left OM India to launch the ministry of Living Word Centre (LWC) in January 1994.
Reena comes from a Christian family and had served with an OM summer team during her college days. She was a High School science teacher in Kalimpong when Joshua first met her.
They were married in January 1988 and together served with OM India until they left in January 1994 to start LWC. They have two teenage children: Pratiksha (daughter) and Prafulla (son), both in High School.
LWC is a legally registered Charity Trust that works towards equipping the Church and uplifting the community spiritually, socially, intellectually and economically in the Eastern Himalayan region of India, based at Matigara, near Siliguri, Darjeeling Dt., West Bengal.
