John and Manorama are parents of four adult married children, Ramesh ('53), Ramani ('55), Ravi ('56) and Rajiv ('61). They have eight grandchildren. Manorama was born in India and John was born in Burma (Myanmar) when Burma was still a province of India. John has served as a wireless operator on sea, land and air (1939 - 1965). In the beginning of 1966, John entered Christian service. Since then he has served in the Evangelical Fellowship of India, Evangelical Fellowship of Asia and AD2000 & Beyond Movement. He has been closely involved with World Evangelical Fellowship, the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization and other international bodies. Manorama cares for John as he engages in various ministries, including serving as ACTION's Minister-at-Large. Manorama and John celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 31, 2000.
