Gary and Melita are involved with vocational training and discipleship of young men who are from poor backgrounds. Gary is teaching Wood Technology as part of the program called Working Hands, which also offers Automotive Mechanics and Computer. Working Hands is located south of Manila near Silang Cavite. Melita homeschools and is the guesthouse coordinator. Gary and Melita came to the Philippines in August 2004. They have five children: Tim (’80), Paul (’82), Laura (’84), Daniel (’94), and Noah (’97). Tim, Paul and Laura are now living in Portland, Oregon. Tim is married to Samara Gibson. Gary is from Washington State and Melita is from Alberta, Canada. Gary and Melita spent 1983-92 teaching at Woodstock school in India.
