International Office: Crisis Response, Relief, Medical & Development Facilitator
The facilitator will prepare and facilitate ACTION’s ability to respond to crises, relief and development projects, and desperate medical needs in cooperation with Regional Coordinators, Country Directors and Leaders. The facilitator will network and build strategies prior to crises in order to mobilize rapid response during and after catastrophes.
Responsibilities
- Develop networks of leaders and volunteers, policy & procedures for Teams for ACTION Relief and Projects (TARP), coordinate with ACTION Leaders worldwide Rapid Response Tactics (RRT), develop TARP funding, constituency, database, resource depots, etc.
- Conduct training and write and collect manuals for crisis and contingency intervention, response and long term innovation, development and Kingdom building.
- Organize and coordinate medical teams in the same fashion.
- Develop church-based missions philosophy of ministry.
- Assist in the development of strategic alliances with churches and Christian agencies to build capacity and integrate ministries of compassion with those of the Word.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- A growing Christian
- Active in ministry in a local church
- Recommended by pastor and church
- Teachable
- Adaptable
- Able to accept difficult circumstances
- Good sense of humor
- Not easily discouraged
- Spiritually mature
- Able to accept various leadership styles
- Other items set forth by the Candidate Secretary’s office
