Philippines: Camp Ministry Director


The Camp Ministry Director will coordinate, plan, and participate in ACTION Camps for street children, street families, out-of-school youth and other poor Filipino population.

Responsibilities

  • Study Tagalog full-time for the first year on the field.
  • Plan the camping calendar for the year in coordination with participating churches and agencies.
  • Plan the type of each camp (evangelistic, discipleship, etc.) along with each camp’s budget and location.
  • Assist with the promotion and fund-raising of the camping ministry.
  • Assist in the development of materials/curriculum to be used at each camp.
  • Oversee the purchase of supplies both before and during the camp.
  • Participate in both pre & post camp planning, orientation and prayer meetings.
  • Work with the participating churches and agencies in their follow-up programs for their campers.
Qualifications

  • Four year to career commitment
  • One year minimum Bible college training
  • At least two years of experience in services related to job description preferred for those in professional/technical skills
  • Two years minimum of part-time Christian service experience recognized by a local evangelical church
  • Recommended by a recognized Christian ministry leader in inner-city youth ministry or a camping ministry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of world missions
  • At least 18 years old
  • A growing Christian
  • Active in ministry in a local church
  • Recommended by pastor and church
  • Teachable
  • Adaptable
  • Able to accept difficult circumstances
  • Good sense of humor
  • Not easily discouraged
  • Spiritually mature
  • Able to accept various leadership styles
  • Other items set forth by the Candidate Secretary’s office
