USA: Office Helpdesk Technician


The Office Helpdesk Technician will help USA Office staff in Mountlake Terrace, WA, with any and all computer-related questions and problems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and troubleshoot the computers of the ACTION USA staff.
  • Cooperate with the Network & Server Administrator to keep email functioning for ACTION USA staff.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the computers of the ACTION International Office & Founder’s Office staff.
  • Maintain the printers and other computer-related devices.
  • Teach office staff how to use computers and software when asked.
  • Assist ACTION volunteers as they use office computers.
  • Read tech web sites to learn about new technologies.
  • Assist guests with using the wireless network or setting up their multimedia presentations.
  • Assist ACTS USA IT Director with various projects.
  • Upon balancing of above responsibilities, assist other ACTS support staff with their roles.

Qualifications

  • Six months to two years or career time commitment
  • Strong understanding of Windows XP
  • Strong understanding of Windows Vista
  • Strong understanding of MS Office 2003 and 2007
  • A working knowledge of Windows 7
  • A working knowledge of Mac OS X 10.6
  • A working knowledge of MS Office 2010
  • Ability to problem solve computer hardware and software issues
  • Ability to build and rebuild PCs
  • Ability to help staff connect to and use the wireless networks
  • Ability to maintain documentation on inventory of office equipment including computers
  • Ability to order computer hardware and software with approval of ACTS USA IT Director
  • Willingness to kindly teach staff and ACTION members how to effectively use their computer
  • Heart for reaching out to those who do not know Christ and supporting fellow missionaries and other believers
  • At least 18 years old
  • A growing Christian
  • Active in ministry in a local church
  • Recommended by pastor and church
  • Teachable
  • Adaptable
  • Able to accept difficult circumstances
  • Good sense of humor
  • Not easily discouraged
  • Spiritually mature
  • Able to accept various leadership styles
  • Other items set forth by the Candidate Secretary’s office
