Fortunate came to Home of Love when she was not much more than a newborn. Her mother died in child birth and never left the hospital after delivery. The father and the  mothers younger sister brought the baby to the ACTION Uganda office in Gulu. They were just kids themselves and could not give her the care she needed. Actually, the moms younger sister also became sponsored by ACTION so that she could finish school.  When Fortunate arrived, she was very weak and malnourished. But with good food and care she thrived. They say that Fortunate was running the Home of Love orphange by the age of 2!  She lived in Home of Love for 8 yrs and went to Jesus is The Truth School when she became of age. She was reunited with her grandmother in 2015 through our Family Strenghtening and Outreach Program. She still attends JITT through our child sponsorship program. Please help us continue to educate this precious young girl through her seconday level schooling!

UPDATE! In April, 2021, Fortunate was visited by Jenny and the AU team! The team actually sees her every week bc she still goes to JITT. She appears healthy and is now 13. She has and is doing well through the CSP.
