Serving others has always been a mainstay in my life from an early age. Growing up and serving in the ministries at Green Castle Baptist Church has been a family tradition, and instilled in me from an early age. My heart for serving others is what actually led me into a career in nursing. Even before starting college, I could feel God leading me to serve others around the world, but at that time I was unsure of where to start or how I could best serve.
Through prayer, guidance, and talking to my parents, I came across a nursing internship opportunity at the Shalom Christian Birthing Center in Antipolo City, Philippines, through Action International Ministries.
I am excited to announce that I have been accepted to this internship, and will be leaving at the beginning of September to pursue God’s work with the skills with which He has gifted me! I will be serving at the birthing center for a month. The Lord has truly blessed me with an opportunity of a lifetime, and has shown me that He knows the wants and desires of my heart!
During my time at Shalom, I will be using my skills to assist in providing prenatal care, delivering babies, and postnatal care to needy mothers and babies. The rest of my time will be spent forming discipleship relationships, spreading the Gospel, and doing community outreach in the area. I am extremely excited and blessed to see what opportunities, teachings, relationships, and adventures Jesus has for me in the Philippines!
As you can imagine, the financial implications of a trip like this are strenuous. I believe in God’s promises to provide for this trip, and know that He will provide all the necessary support I need. The expected cost of my trip will be $3,000.
First and foremost, I ask you to continually pray for safety, guidance, continual revelations from the Lord, and boldness in sharing the Gospel. Secondly, if God places it on your heart to donate financially you can give via this webpage and receive a tax-deductible receipt.
Thanks for your consideration!
