Daylinda, a registered nurse, was a community development worker with World Vision Philippines for 22 years. Assigned to remote islands as Community Nurse, she facilitated child sponsorship projects in various places, including rebel-infested areas. Allan was a businessman, who had his own construction company in the Philippines. He was a member of a civic organization, which raised funds to support street children's projects.Allan and Daylinda, with their two children, migrated to Minnesota. There, Daylinda worked as a Registered Nurse of Presbyterian Homes for almost 3 years, then for 8 years at Bethesda Hospital and Saint Joseph Hospital. Meanwhile, Allan worked at manufacturing companies, then established his insurance agency. It was during the pandemic in 2020, when they heard that 85% of the elderly were affected by COVID, that the Lord impressed upon their hearts to go back to the Philippines to serve them. Marginalized seniors are the least served sector of society in third world Countries. These people are the focus for their ministry, Sunset & Beyond.

Why "Sunset & Beyond?"
God designed day and night in creation, so man could number their days. We gaze at the sunset as we approach the end of the day, then we retire, and tomorrow is another day. “Sunset & Beyond” represents a beautiful and relaxing phase of human existence. For us, the sunset doesn’t only represent a timeline of one’s daily existence. It also represents a timeline of man’s journey in life, where sunset represents the end of life, and beyond represents the life after. We ultimately strive to help those draw near to God during their “sunset,” so that they may rest peacefully with Him “beyond”.TO WATCH THE VIDEO OF OUR MINISTRY, PLEASE CLICK THE YOU TUBE ICON BELOW.
