Dear Friend in Christ,
My name is Brad Eaton, and I am elated to have the opportunity to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in Brazil!
In 2014, the Lord brought me me on a year-long journey of discovering just who He is. My life had been getting more difficult, and I didn’t seem to have any answers to the problems I faced. The Lord surrounded me with mature Christians, and after a year of reading the Bible, I realized that I had indeed received the truth. In May, 2015, I was saved. Since then, the Lord has worked in my life to show me how I can put my trust in Him alone, no matter the trial or test that comes my way.
Because, through the grace of God, I have received the gift of speaking Portuguese, I desire to use this gift to minister to the precious people of Brazil. Specifically, I will be serving an extraordinarily faithful family (Marco and Claudia van de Merwe) in the southernmost state of Brazil, Rio Grande do Sul in December, 2017. This wonderful family ministers to the underprivileged children in the town of Camaquã. They serve these children with the equivalent of an after school program, teaching music, the arts, and of course the Gospel. They further focus their efforts on getting parental buy-in to what they’re teaching to enable the family to reinforce the Gospel message at home.
On this 10+ day mission, I will serve alongside the family as they work with the children, and will also use some handy-man skills to assist in helping with some building improvement projects.
With your help, we can further bless this family by leaving them with a financial blessing. Given the favorable exchange rate, your contribution will go even further than in the past. Thank you for your prayerful consideration of a financial gift. All proceeds will go directly to this family and their mission.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:8-10
