Adam is from Sturbridge, Massachusetts. He graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2005 with a degree in Communications. In October 2007, Adam arrived in Gulu, Uganda, after volunteering for two months in the International Office as an administrative assistant to Nelson Reed.
After contracting a severe case of Malaria while in Gulu, Adam returned to the Seattle office after 8 months on the field and now serve ACTION through video production, street children outreaches and youth discipleship in the Philippines where he met his wife Alexis. They were married in April of 2010. They enjoy serving the Lord together and are so blessed to be partnering together for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry. In 2013, they were blessed with a beautiful baby girl Eliana Mackenzie.
Adam is currently discipling a young man with discipleship material from his hometown church in Massachusetts. He and his family are also partnering with Filipino staff in ministering to street children ages 8-14 years old. Each street children program runs for 6 months, twice a week. These children come from a hard life, most sniff contact cement and are out of school. The team conducts a series of Bible studies, health and nutrition classes (in partnership with the local health centers), ALS (Alternative Learning System), educational trips, and family outings (with the children’s family). After each program, the children and their families are endorsed to a local Bible-believing church for follow up and further discipleship.
Adam also produces videos of other missionaries to document their ministries, for fundraising, accountability and ministry presentation. Below are a few of what Adam has filmed and edited.
Interview with Walter Jespersen: I had the opportunity to talk with Walter Jespersen (father-in-law of ACTION Founder Doug Nichols). We had a great talk about missions and his experiences in China. Please click here to view this ten minute video interview.
