The Wylie Family: Sharing Faith, Serving Globally

Mathew's journey began in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada, where he embraced Christ's message after hearing the Gospel at his local church. Baptized as a youth, he sensed the Lord's call to full-time ministry, leading him to embark on short-term missions at a young age of 13. After graduation, he devoted himself to missionary work, traversing numerous countries worldwide, and meeting his wife, Heni. Together, they dedicated significant time in Malawi and Cambodia, working tirelessly to uplift orphans, care for the underprivileged and provide theological education to young believers. Alongside his missionary endeavours, he pursued higher education, achieving Master's degrees both in Christian Education and Educational Leadership.

Heni's path to missions started in Vác, Hungary, where she experienced the life-changing impact of Christ's message through English camps led by missionaries. Inspired by their dedication, she pursued a calling to become a missionary herself. She journeyed across Europe and into long-term missions in Malawi and Cambodia alongside Mathew. Heni's commitment to service and her desire to deepen her impact led her to pursue a Master of Divinity degree, which she recently completed. Their family expanded in 2017 when they adopted Dominik from Vietnam.

Their son, a radiant and active young man, brings joy and energy to their family. Embracing homeschooling under the guidance of his parents, he thrives in a small-town environment where community connections are abundant. With a love for sports, Legos, and cherished friendships, he embraces each day with enthusiasm. As his spiritual journey unfolds, he deepens his understanding of the Bible and eagerly shares his faith, aspiring to lead others to know Jesus too.

Today, Heni and Mathew continue their mission remotely by providing member care support to missionaries worldwide. Additionally, she's actively engaged in developing culturally contextualized frameworks for staff care within partnering ministries in the United States, aiming to enhance the well-being and effectiveness of local and foreign workers serving globally.
