Hi! We are Greg and Sarah Seiling. We have two children. Sarah is a Registered Practical Nurse by profession, and Greg was a small engine mechanic and recently graduated from Master’s College and Seminary with a bachelor of theology.
During our three years of serving in the Philippines, we worked mainly with children and youth in crises and studied the Tagalog language. God has given us a burden for children and youth in crisis, especially young men. Our desire is to see street youth realize who they are in Christ and know God’s plan for their lives. It is because of this burden, passion and the call of God that we will be returning to the Philippines.
In 2011 we accepted the invitation from ACTION Philippines to lead the Honest Hands Discipleship Home ministry in Cavite, Philippines. In April 2014, after completing Bible College and raising support, we restarted Honest Hands.
Honest Hands Discipleship Home disciples, encourages and challenges young men ages 15-20 from rough backgrounds (street kids, school drop outs, squatter kids) to grow strong and deepen their faith in Jesus Christ as they serve Him. Up to ten young men spend nine months at Honest Hands in the long term discipleship program. During this time, these young men are discipled, involved in a tutorial program, taught basic life skills and how to live responsibly, and mentored by Christian men. Our hope is that these once seemingly hopeless and perceived as useless young men will become leaders in their families, church and community, and live a life of hope to the glory and honour of God.
