Andy & Doreen Zuberbuehler

Start a Campaign
Andy and Doreen Zuberbuehler and their two children moved to the Philippines in 2007. Their third child was born in Manila. For the first 9 years, they worked with two different organizations in street children ministries, orphanages, disaster relief, livelihood projects, and indigenous community projects.

In 2017, they started Timothy Project International Mission with a new ministry called Lighthouse to meet the great need of abandoned and neglected children in Mindanao. The first children they took in at the Lighthouse had previously lived in a juvenile prison, because there was no suitable home for abandoned children in the province. Newborn babies who were found in ditches and abused children quickly filled the first Lighthouse children’s home.

At the end of 2018, a group of 5 children, rescued from online sexual exploitation, were referred to the Lighthouse for care. So, Lighthouse opened a second home for victims of cybersex trafficking.

The Lighthouse is a safe and loving home for children until they can be adopted, reunited with their biological families, or a foster family is found for them.

Additionally, Timothy Project supports an elementary school for tribal children in the jungle of the northern Philippines. With a feeding program and a simple dormitory, they give some of the poorest and most marginalized children education and the hope for a brighter future.
