Medical Expenses for Pastor Mel deJesus

Send a Note Start a Campaign
On March 25, Reverend Melchor (Mel) deJesus was admitted to hospital with some COVID-19 like symptoms. Pastor Mel has been an employee of ACTION Philippines for over 20 years and is the discipleship program department head at ACTION's Second Mile Ministries.

After Pastor Mel was admitted to the hospital, we found out he had pneumonia and his oxygen levels were low. A swab test showed that he was positive with COVID-19. Unfortunately, after a number of days of being confined at the hospital and receiving oxygen, his condition did not improve, and the virus continued to affect his body causing the pneumonia to worsen. On April 2, he was intubated and placed on a ventilator and transferred to the ICU.

By God’s grace, his condition has stabilized in the following days, and he has shown signs of improvement and is making progress towards recovery. However, it may still take some time before he is able to breath on his own, be released from the hospital, and make a full recovery.

We are calling on the entire Christian community to participate in meeting this need. The Lord calls us to work together as the body of Christ to spur each other on in our faith and to support each member of the body. That is why we are asking you, whether a friend, family member, relative, co-minister in Christ, local church body, association, denominational conference, or others who consider Pastor Melchor deJesus a friend or brother in Christ, to participate in showing our love and support for him.

Will you join us in supporting this dear brother in Christ and be a part of his recovery and release from the hospital?
