Rylie Hauge

Hi, my name is Rylie Hauge and I am so excited for this opportunity to serve alongside the Huckaby Family in Lusaka, Zambia. I will be helping tutor their kids and working alongside them while they serve their local community. I still need to raise $5,500 and would be so thankful for any support you can offer. You can read more below about my trip to Lusaka and what I will be doing.

I have known the Huckaby family since my family traveled to Lusaka in the Summer of 2015. Since then, I have wanted to go back in order to visit, serve, and spend time in Zambia. Currently, I work as a substitute teacher for the school district and have served in a variety of long-term positions where I have been a teacher in both math and science. I am currently considering getting my teaching credentials. I have a lot of hands-on training from being thrown into a variety of crazy situations while substitute teaching so when Kelly told me they needed someone to help tutor their kids in math for the GED it sounded like the perfect opportunity. While I am there I will be tutoring the three youngest Huckaby kids daily in math, science, and US History. I will also be participating in a variety of Bible studies and outreaches that the Huckaby's take part in weekly. There is also the opportunity to stay for one week in another part of the country with one of the Zambian women we served alongside back in 2015. Auntie Helen is married to a pastor and they run a ministry which I would have the opportunity to help serve in.

I am so grateful for God’s provision and the opportunity to go back to Lusaka and serve the Huckaby family. I am so grateful for any support you are able to give in the form of financial assistance or prayer. I would love prayer for the continued strength for my body and mind while I am there. Please also pray for my preparation to teach all the subjects and for understanding for the kids.
