Sandip originates from the far western district of Nepal. Sandip’s father became  unexpectedly sick, working away in India, and though he was able to secure medical help at the hospital, he died.

Sandip’s mother was blamed by the family for the death of her husband as she had a Christian faith. She was forced to leave the home, but was able to find work as a tailor in another town. Sandip had to be left with the grandparents to be cared for. Unable to properly look after Sandip as they are agricultural workers, the grandparents applied to Hope Home for his continued care and he was accepted.

He is very happy and excited to have joined Hope home where he receives the love of a supportive Christian family, nutritious meals, and his medical and educational needs are met.
