We have now been engaged in ministry in Ethiopia for 22 years. During this time, we praise God for the hundreds of Ethiopian leaders who have been raised up as effective disciple makers and church planters. Now, it’s time to help the Ethiopian church to send some of these trained and experienced church planters cross-culturally to places where the gospel is little known. Our current focus is North Africa, a region of the world where there are fewer than 1% Christians in most areas. That’s why we have launched the GoNorth Initiative. Our goal is to help our Ethiopian brothers and sisters to move beyond their borders with the gospel message. We do this by recruiting Ethiopian missionaries, mobilizing Ethiopian churches, developing “host” partnership in North Africa, and coaching the disciple makers through the deployment process and ministry engagement in North Africa.
