Julie Kacena & Elias Madeira Matheus
Julie’s heart for missions and serving God goes back to her strong Christian upbringing and was further developed through her college education at Moody Bible Institute. After Julie served short-term in various Latin American countries, she and Elias met at their church in Brazil and were married in 2006. Together, they work with children and adults in the favelas (Brazilian slums) to help keep children from going on the streets and also to maintain the family unit.
Julie and Elias have one son.
