Ben & Faren Sojourner
Benjamin and Faren Sojourner followed the call of God to Ecuador with one purpose: to make the Gospel known. Their message rests in Isaiah 61:1 and their confidence in Mark 10:27. By serving with love and truth, they desire to lift up Jesus through the Word of God and their partnership with the Holy Spirit.
They serve rural valleys where families have limited access to healthcare, education, mental health care, vocational opportunity, and resources. Working alongside the local church, their presence supports a long-term vision: strengthen the Gospel foundation that exists, bring resources, equip leaders, and care for the people around them.
While investing deeply in ministry, both Ben and Faren work online. Ben is completing his theology degree through the South African Theological Seminary, and Faren provides Christian therapy across Canada and the UK.
Through prayer, biblical guidance, and practical support, they help meet needs such as mental health support for families, clinical and pastoral care, as well as practical needs including but not limited to children’s and youth programs, medical resources, and building up the poor.
As partners in ministry, Benjamin and Faren love hosting supporters, leaders, and aspiring missionaries who have a heart for Ecuador, desire to participate on the ground, and want to see the Gospel advance in the country.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20, NKJV
