Benjamin & Lal Pekkim Bawm
Rev. Benjamin Bawm and his wife, Lal Pekkim Bawm, are members of the Presbyterian Church in Bangladesh (PCB). They currently reside in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, together with their three children—two sons and one daughter. God has blessed their family with a precious daughter with Down syndrome, who continues to be a special gift and testimony of His grace in their lives.
God has called Benjamin and Lal Pekkim to equip and strengthen local churches in disciple-making and Christlike leadership development, with a vision of seeing lives transformed and the Church established throughout the nation. They got God’s calling in 2007. Since then, they left their job and went for theological studies. In 2010, Benjamin finished his BTh, and Lal Pekkim finished her MDiv. After their studies, they served as missionaries for 5 years, and then they went to the International Graduate School of Leadership to pursue higher theological studies. In 2019, Benjamin completed MDiv, and Lal Pekkim completed Partner in Ministry.
Currently, Rev. Benjamin serves as the Executive Secretary of the Presbyterian Church in Bangladesh, providing leadership and oversight to 74 local churches and 50 house churches that he and his ministry team have helped establish. Together, they are praying and working toward the goal of planting and strengthening 150 house churches by the year 2030.
In addition to his responsibilities within the PCB, Rev. Benjamin is actively involved in several national ministries. He serves as the leader of the Bangladesh Prayer Movement, teaches at the Presbyterian Biblical Seminary, and serves as Vice President of the Hill Tracts Churches Fellowship, a fellowship comprising seven denominations working together for the advancement of God's Kingdom in Bangladesh. And Lal Pekkim is faithfully serving the women's ministry.
To faithfully fulfill this calling, Benjamin and Lal Pekkim seek ministry partners who will stand with them through prayer and practical support. They trust God to raise up individuals, families, churches, and organizations who are willing to invest in their lives and ministry through faithful partnership.
They warmly invite you to join their support team. You may partner with them spiritually through regular prayer or financially through monthly support, annual contributions, or a one-time gift. Every form of partnership plays a significant role in advancing God's work and extending His Kingdom.
They look forward to partnering with you as together we fulfill the Great Commission and make disciples of all nations.
