Andrea Lockwood

Andrea was born in the States but moved overseas when she was very young. She grew up in Germany with her parents and two older brothers.  Attending German public school for much of her education but finishing at Black Forest Academy, she graduated and moved to the US for college. She went to Moody Bible Institute for two years in Spokane and two years in Chicago. In May 2020 she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies with the aim of long term missions work.

Through a variety of short term mission trips when she was young, God awakened within her a love for traveling and learning about other cultures. She also discovered she has a passion for working with youth and children and has a heart for those who are most in need. A mission statement Andrea strives for is “to show God’s love to those who feel unloved”, and seeks to care for both physical and spiritual needs. 

Andrea moved to the Philippines in January of 2022. She works at the ministry Brand New Day, which focuses on shelter, education and outreach to street children. She continues to have a passion for serving alongside the staff there and finds one of the most rewarding and life-giving parts of the job to be relationship building with the kids and youth, and seeing God change their lives around little by little.
