Brett and Ingrid Mitchell

Start a Campaign

We are the Mitchell family. Brett moved to the Philippines in 2011 and met Ingrid, who is from the mountain village he visited just one month after arriving. We were married in 2014 and have two children, whom we homeschool—Uriel (our oldest, diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2024) and Adrielle.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” (Luke 19:10, NASB)

We serve as church planters in the northern mountain villages of the Philippines. Our heart is to go to places others often don’t—whether because of the difficulty or cost of getting there, or because the village is considered “too small” to be worth the effort. Our goal is that no one would be more than a 45-minute walk from a Bible-teaching church.

Today, we oversee five churches, including four that have been started through our ministry. In addition to church planting, we provide training through DCPI (Dynamic Church Planting International), and Brett serves as a regional director with DCPI in the Philippines. Brett also leads child protection training with RSTN (Refuge and Safety Training Network), and we respond to disasters across the Philippines with our search and rescue dog.

Ingrid also helps translate the Kingstone Bible comic into Tagalog and Ibaloi, and works closely with the World Zone Office and the main World Office of DCPI as a data encoder.

We are also in the process of starting an elementary school in the community we serve and are currently in the planning stages.

As a family, we love board games and listening to audiobooks.
