Juan and Karol Carranza

Juan is from Colombia and started as a volunteer with the organization Open Doors, as part of his Social Worker career, he helped vulnerable communities around the “guerrillas” in Colombia. In 2018, he joined a skater group called “Jesús a las Calles”, which is focused in sharing the Gospel to this action sport community. This lead him to serve for 4 years as a missionary in Nicaragua with Ride Nature, an organization focused in discipleship for nontraditional sports like surf and skate.
This time serving has grown his passion for the Lord, the Gospel and for the sports community, which has moved his heart to pour into this group of people. He truly enjoys sharing the Word of God, growing deep relationships and discipleship.
Karol is from Costa Rica and started serving as a full time missionary since 2022 in Nicaragua, her involvement while serving was with Women’s ministry, as Missions Coordinator and as Administrative Coordinator. Currently, by God’s grace, she is serving at ACTION as a Financial Assistant in the USA office.
Juan and Karol met in 2022 in Nicaragua, where they were serving together. This time helped them to get to know each other’s heart and their desire to serve God for the rest of their lives. They got married in December of 2023 and their purpose is to continue sharing the Good News of Christ.
