Allie Rosa
Hi! My name is Allie Rosa and I am going into my final semester of nursing school. My nursing journey has shown me how beautiful it is to follow Jesus as I have fallen in love with the profession. I have two favorite examples that remind me that the Lord is leading and guiding my steps. In my first semester at Biola, the Lord led me to pursue a Spanish minor, and now it fills me with joy to converse with my patients and their families in their native tongue. During my third semester of clinicals, He also revealed my passion for working with kids and their families. Whether I am comforting a new mom while her child is hospitalized or I am playing superheroes with a 3-year-old to help him cooperate with his care, it is life-giving to be the hands and feet of Jesus to these families.
The Lord is continuing to mold me and shape me by giving me the opportunity to go to the Philippines for my community health placement! I am looking forward to partnering with the staff at Shalom Women’s Health Center in the Philippines to provide compassionate care to at-risk mothers and their babies. I will be able to expand my nursing skills with an emphasis on community health, maternal health, and pediatrics while being immersed in Filipino culture. I have learned that God reveals aspects of Himself and the church through the beauty of other cultures. It will be a privilege to experience this in the Philippines. I am so thankful for how my community has supported me through my nursing journey.
Would you consider partnering with me as I learn and serve in the Philippines for 3 weeks? I would treasure your prayers and encouragement as I serve my global neighbors. I would also be immensely grateful for financial support, which will go toward my flight tickets and expenses while I’m there.
Thank you for considering partnering with me as I go to the Philippines to be the hands and feet of Jesus and learn how to serve others better!
