Trevor Loken
Trevor Loken has been a Christian for as long as he can remember and has been passionate about missions since he was a teenager. Later in life, he discovered an equal passion for biblical studies and theology. He has two master’s degrees in theological studies and religious studies and has served as a missionary in India, Brazil, Kenya, and the Philippines.
After finishing his first master’s degree, Trevor moved to the Philippines in 2017 and spent 4 1/2 years teaching high school bible classes at Faith Academy, a Christian international school in Manila that primarily serves missionary families. Trevor loved the opportunity to combine his passions and discovered the joy of helping young people learn about the bible and become reinvigorated in their faith.
After returning to Canada during the COVID pandemic, during which he completed his second master’s degree, Trevor felt God’s calling in his life to return to Manila, this time serving with ACTION Canada. He is picking up where he left off, teaching doctrine and Christian Living classes to grade 11 and 12 students.
