John & Gela Basiwa
We are delighted every single day with our family of five. For almost thirty years, we have been serving God as full-time field workers by helping underprivileged children. Pastor John was the Executive Director of an orphanage prior to being sent by our church on a missionary pastorate. He also developed Tender Ministry, which serves homeless children, and "Faith Leadership Training." Gela, a project-based social worker for Action International Ministries Philippines, has experience managing social work and has held administrative leadership positions in residential care facilities and community-based programmes.
Currently a licensed nurse, our oldest son hopes to enroll in medical school in the near future. Our second child loves organizing events and works as a film director. Our youngest child has a keen interest in sports.
