Dave & Lynne Johnson

Beginning of life together and ministry: We met after college and each had attended Bible school. After we got married, we farmed for 30 years and raised our family. God gave us three children, whom we love so much. During those years, we were very active in in our church with Dave serving in leadership for most of that time. Dave was active in prison ministry for 17 years serving in leadership there also. In order to impact people outside of the church community, we were active in agricultural trade associations in the northwest. There also, Dave was in leadership for many years. It was always interesting how God gave us so many opportunities to share Jesus even in the business world. While farming, we got involved with short term mission trips and led many teams to Mexico to serve alongside missionaries.  

Ministry in Mexico: We served in Mexico over the past 20 years assisting churches develop reproducing disciples and reproducing self-sustaining ministries to impact both the church people and also their communities for Jesus. Much of our time was spent in youth ministry, and we are excited to now see many of those youth go to Bible and mission school and take leadership positions in full-time ministry. The last few years, we have been encouragers and a resource to those churches, and it has been awesome to see them take the ownership of these ministries.

Ministry Opportunity: We were challenged to consider joining Action International as part of the PLD (Pastoral Training Development) and Sustainable Church Multiplication and have agreed to join this group. We want to serve God, and, if our life experiences can be used to grow God’s Church, then we have a responsibility to be available. One of our loves is to see people being successful in their Christian life and excited about serving through the local church. We also work with churches in the USA to develop reproducing disciples and encourage mission awareness and involvement.
