Esther Jones
Esther comes from Calgary, Alberta where she lives with her husband Martin. One of her favourite Bible verses is Phil. 1:9 “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Esther felt the call to missions at a youth conference and had been pursuing ways to fulfill that call ever since.
After attending Bible college and seminary, Esther travelled overseas teaching English as a Second Language in Thailand and South Korea for several years. She was able to combine her love of the Bible and culture by teaching a couple of missions courses in South Korea. Esther has also taught ESL in Calgary for many years, widening her experience and contact with other cultures.
She is involved in the training and discipleship of young adults going overseas to work in various mission fields, particularly through the ACTION Ventures program. She looks forward to being used of God in this way. It is exciting to see the Spirit work in hearts as these believers grow in Christ. It is a definite impact on how they minister.
