Eduardo and Sandra Leyva

It is a pleasure and privilege to be able to serve God in these times, especially through Action International Ministries. 

We are the Leyva family: Eduardo and Sandra, with our children Rut and Samuel. We have been married for 20 years and have always had a desire to serve God on the mission field.  Since we were just youngsters, we were involved in various Gospel tasks preparing us for future challenges, and in 2003 we entered the pastorate full time.  

At present, we are serving our 17th year in ministry and are in our fourth church, located in the city of Florida, province of Camagüey, Cuba. During these years, we have taken on various responsibilities in different ministries of our denomination, such as the national Youth Department and the Elim Bible Institute. Starting in 2012, we became involved with ACTION as well.

In 2008, my wife Sandra began to work at the Elim Bible Institute (IBEC), serving as librarian and also teaching classes in New Testament and Christian Leadership. I also began to work in the IBEC in 2017 as an administrator and professor of Missions and Evangelism.  

Since 2018, we have had the pleasure of being called to assume the coordination of ACTION in the central zone of Cuba from Camagüey to Cienfuegos. We have overseen delivery of bicycles to pastors, put on special events for children and the elderly for Christmas and other holidays, and accomplished Christian literature and Bible deliveries. When ACTION short-term teams come for teaching events or construction projects, we handle their logistics.

We have also enjoyed distributing supplies, such as clothing, shoes, toys, office and school supplies, reading glasses, food, medicine, and small cash gifts. We took these items to out-of-the-way places where families were suffering from natural disasters and unusual circumstances. In these same areas, we have organized and administered special events such as leadership training seminars and evangelistic campaigns.
