Mark and Liane Wolbert

Mark and Liane Wolbert met about forty years ago while serving young people through a para-church organization. Their friendship led to marriage and a family and ongoing service through vocational ministry, church staff members, and YWAM missionaries.

Mark has led teams to serve the poor and marginalized in the country of Ethiopia for the past ten years. His main thrust has been leading teams in the capital city of Addis Ababa and to small villages throughout the countryside of this beautiful nation. It has been a privilege for him on every level to provide encouragement, services, and on-going relationship with these precious people. For the past three years Mark has assisted ACTION missionaries to encourage and train rural evangelists in Ethiopia on Bible truth and discipleship.

Liane has worked as a public school educator and counselor for over three decades. While serving Christ through this vocational ministry she has also served in the area of adoption.  Her work has included preparing families to adopt children, post adoptive training, grief and loss counseling for birthmothers, and evangelical outreach to the brave birthmothers who have made the parenting decision to choose a family for their child/children. In addition Liane has interfaced with community resources to provide support and interfaced mentoring relationships for birthmothers. 

Mark and Liane have twin sons, Adam and Nathan, and a daughter, Alena.  Their daughters-in-law, Anahi and Maggie, along with their grandchildren, Roland and Leah, are all precious additions to their family.
