Nepal Relief: Blanket Project
Winter '22-'23 has already come with freezing cold to the Himalayas, and people are still living under tarps from when their houses were swept away by the floods and landslides in October. The elderly and young children are at particular risk of pneumonia. Some of the most vulnerable have already faced serious health conditions related to the cold. And almost all of them are not believing in Jesus. The current need is desperate, especially since the government is not able to provide relief with its current political instability.
As these families wait for help from various places, we want to work alongside local churches to show them God's love by providing some of their basic needs, like blankets, and also share of God's love for them in Christ. Pastors from these local churches are able to provide follow-up care and visits.
Our goal is to raise $35,000 in order to provide 2 blankets per family who is most affected from the landslides and now the cold.
