ACTION is seeking to add to our Member Care Team. We are looking for an experienced couple in pastoral and cross-cultural worker care (field experience strongly preferred) that is willing to work in conjunction with others in our Member Care Team to offer quality, Biblical care to our field workers around the world. 

The Member Care branch of ACTION seeks to provide compassionate encouragement and Bible-based pastoral care to our workers worldwide at every stage of their ministries. This includes intentionally praying for them; visiting them in the host countries of their work; communicating regularly through email, video, and/or audio calls; and hosting them at some point during their Stateside visits to debrief and provide refreshment.  

Below is a basic outline of the work and care ACTION's Member Care Team provides: 

• Assists the International Office in the pre-field training of new field workers
• Coaches and encourages field workers who wrestle with issues unique to their calling
• Travels internationally to minister to field workers in the context of their culture
• Intercedes for field workers, keeping current with them via email, Signal, Facebook, etc.
• Opens their home as a safe haven for rest and debriefing
• Networks with other caregivers in order to better encourage ACTION’s field workers

Qualifications:

• Willing to raise their own financial support
• A growing Christian
• Active in ministry in a local church
• Recommended by pastor and church
• Teachable
• Adaptable
• Able to accept difficult circumstances
• Good sense of humor
• Not easily discouraged
• Spiritually mature
