Philippines: Faith Academy Teachers
Faith Academy Teachers and Staff will fulfill teaching or staff positions as listed in updated publications of Faith Academy personnel needs.
Responsibilities:
- Teach assigned courses and/or grade level per description.
- Develop/teach the curriculum under direct supervision of the school principal or administrator.
- Evaluate student learning progress and advise parents and school administrators involved.
- Supervise, as assigned, extra-curricular activities.
- Support the moral and spiritual-life standards of the school and Jesus Christ by encouraging the students to practice these in their conduct.
- Participate in all required faculty and school activities.
- Participate in all required general ACTION activities; i.e. Field Annual Conference, team meetings, prayer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Four-year degree minimum (with current teaching credentials)
- College/university/Bible school or applicable professional/vocational training as appropriate for job description
- One year minimum Bible college training
- A comprehensive knowledge of missions perspective
- At least one year of experience in a related field for this job description
- Two years of teaching experience as specified by your teaching credential
- One or more years of part-time local church Christian service experience in general outreach or
- Discipleship/teaching ministries
- Minimum of one year commitment; prefer 4 ½ years to career service
- At least 18 years old
- A growing Christian
- Active in ministry in a local church
- Recommended by pastor and church
- Teachable
- Adaptable
- Able to accept difficult circumstances
- Good sense of humor
- Not easily discouraged
- Spiritually mature
- Able to accept various leadership styles
