Nepal: Mountain Heartbeat Birth Center
What Are We Doing?
We are creating a self-sustaining birthing center in Kathmandu that demonstrates God’s love to mothers, babies, and families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This center will serve as a gateway to sharing the Good News and transforming lives for eternity.
Additionally, it will provide a place for newly accredited midwives from Nepal’s Bachelor of Midwifery and Certificate in Midwifery programs to develop their skills, build confidence, and grow in their faith while sharing the gospel. These midwives will then be empowered to serve throughout Nepal, offering skilled midwifery care and impacting their communities with the Good News.
Our Mission
To share the gospel and disciple Nepali midwives, equipping them with both spiritual and professional skills so they can serve their local communities as gospel witnesses, multiplying the work God is doing in Nepal.
Why Are We Starting a Birthing Center?
A midwifery-led birthing center provides job opportunities for midwives, allowing them to refine their skills and gain confidence while delivering compassionate, high-quality maternity care to the local community.
Nepali midwives both want and need additional training and mentorship to enhance their skills and serve effectively.
