Children in Crisis Trust Fund

The Children in Crisis Trust Fund is a designated fund of Action International Ministries (USA) created to provide long-term support for vulnerable and at-risk children around the world. Contributions to the fund are tax-deductible charitable gifts and are invested so that the principal remains intact while the interest generated is used to support ministry efforts serving children in crisis. Because the fund is structured as an endowment-style resource, it provides ongoing financial assistance for ministry long after the original gift is made.

For more than five decades, ACTION has ministered to children living in difficult circumstances through evangelism, discipleship, education, rescue, rehabilitation, and community development. Today, more than 400 workers serving in over 40 countries partner with local churches and communities to bring the hope of the Gospel to those who need it most. The Children in Crisis Trust Fund helps sustain these ministries by providing perpetual funding for qualified ACTION workers who are dedicated to caring for vulnerable children.

The impact of this work can be seen in stories like Ricky’s. Growing up on the streets of São Paulo, Brazil, Ricky experienced abandonment, instability, and poverty. Through an ACTION ministry that reached out to street children, he was invited to attend a camp that became the turning point in his life. Ricky eventually entered a rescue home, then a transitional program for older boys preparing for independent living. Over time, he developed practical skills, found employment, married, and raised a family of his own. Today, he works in a cabinet-making ministry that helps other young men develop vocational skills and build a brighter future. Ricky’s story demonstrates the life-changing impact that patient, long-term ministry can have in the lives of children in crisis.

The Children in Crisis Trust Fund exists to make more stories like Ricky’s possible. The fund’s investments generate income that is distributed through full-time ACTION members who serve vulnerable children worldwide. Oversight and accountability are provided through ACTION’s Child Advocacy Task Force, which offers evaluation, feedback, and project review to ensure that resources are used effectively and responsibly.
