EdenGate is a pioneering, business-as-mission movement "on mission with the church," dedicated to seeing the gospel flourish across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. At its heart, EdenGate exists to offer excellence in the tours that it provides, mobilising leisure and travel to serve Christ's promise: "I will build my church" (Matthew 16:18). This is the foundation and fuel of EdenGate's "Redeeming Travel" vision, shaping every tour, partnership, and project. EdenGate and its charitable wing, Patrons International, intentionally operate under this biblical principle, offering excellence in travel and tourism to support the church as the means through which Christ gathers worshippers to Himself for eternity.

What is EdenGate and What Does It Do?

EdenGate is a travel company that operates as a "gospel ecosystem," leveraging a faith-centred travel platform to connect Christians with frontline ministries. Through their Redeeming Travel model, EdenGate designs tours and experiences that not only immerse participants in biblical history and Christian heritage but also directly support indigenous church planters, evangelists, and local gospel efforts. 

EdenGate's model is inspired by the Apostle Paul's example as a tentmaker (Acts 18:3): just as Paul's tents were likely of high quality and funded his missionary journeys, EdenGate crafts its travel programs to be excellent in every way—serving both as a business model and a vital means of resourcing gospel advance and local churches wherever they operate (cf. 1 Thessalonians 2:9). Like Paul, who used his trade to support ministry without burdening the church, EdenGate's tours are intentionally designed to support and deliver on-the-ground mission.

A Unifying Vision: The Irish American Gospel Partnership

Most recently, EdenGate launched the Irish American Gospel Partnership (TIAGP)—a central hub that brings together all of EdenGate's ministries, boards, and trustees. Through this initiative, supporters, especially from the United States, can discover, engage with, and resource the full scope of EdenGate's gospel work, multiplying their impact across Ireland and beyond. 

The Ministries Overseen by EdenGate 

1 - Christian-Centered Travel Programs

As a travel agency on mission with the church, EdenGate offers four levels of gospel-rich travel:

• Cultural heritage or themed tours
• Focused mission trips
• Specialised church-planting/support vision trips
• Premium stewardship/donor tours

Each trip immerses participants in biblical history, Christian heritage, and genuine partnership with local ministries—empowering churches and individuals to support gospel work directly. 

2 - Irish Gospel Partnership (IGP)

Born from an ongoing invitation to pray together, IGP unites Irish denominational leaders in prayer to celebrate and co-labour together as each tribe seeks to plant in their own context. 122 unreached towns in Ireland have been identified. EdenGate provides the operational backbone and strategic support as pastors collaborate. 

3 - Kinfire Festival

Commissioned by the IGP, EdenGate helped launch Kinfire in 2023. It is Ireland's first all-island gospel festival, gathering believers from all backgrounds for worship, teaching, and fellowship—a powerful platform for gospel unity and national encouragement 

4 - Shepherd's Retreat

EdenGate is developing a dedicated facility for rest and renewal of pastors and ministry leaders, drawing on its network of hundreds of church leaders. This retreat will offer year-round sabbatical opportunities and pastoral care.

5 - Gaelic Gospel Initiative: Téigh, The Go Gatering

Born out of the Kinfire gathering, this project seeks to be a space to help believers appropriately use language in the local church. It also actively seeks opportunities to facilitate the translation of gospel resources for Irish-speaking communities, among the least-reached population.

6 - Collaborative Publishing Partnership

Collaborating with publishers, EdenGate aims to help platform Irish pastors, theology students and theologians share their experience and resources.

7 - Kingdom Bank (Development Phase)

To address the housing barrier for urban church planters, Kingdom Bank aims to develop an investment portfolio to help planters secure mortgages. It is seeking partners to support planters in the Republic of Ireland. 

8 - Tour Guide Training Partnership

EdenGate is training Christian tour guides to raise biblically grounded, gospel-focused guides for sustainable, redemptive tourism.

9 - Business as Mission Visa Sponsorship

EdenGate and its Charity Patrons International can now sponsor visas (90 days–5+ years) for those with skills in church planting, business, media, tourism, and more, to serve alongside its ministries in Northern Ireland and across the UK.

10 - Patrons International, 501 (c) 3, Charity.

This non-profit is the charitable arm of EdenGate Travel,  established shortly after EdenGate itself to facilitate and steward transparent financial giving for all these national ministry projects. The Charity Commission of Northern Ireland regulates it, operates with a board of trustees and robust governance, and fully complies with all relevant legal and financial standards—giving donors in the U.S., U.K., and Ireland confidence and assurance.
