When a mother and her children flee violence, safety cannot wait. Through this Emergency Protection Support Fund, we walk personally with vulnerable families in crisis—helping them access immediate protection, safe housing, trauma care, and practical support as they rebuild stability and dignity—protecting one family today while strengthening a model that equips churches and communities to care for many more tomorrow.

We believe God is a refuge for the oppressed and a defender of the vulnerable (Psalm 9:9; Psalm 68:5–6). His love becomes tangible through the faithful action of His people. Every gift helps restore safety, hope, and the possibility of a peaceful future for families who are taking courageous steps out of harm.

This fund also strengthens the broader mission of Paraguay Protects Families (PPF), a movement we co-founded in 2016 and continue to help lead. Each case becomes a real-life training ground to activate, equip, and support local churches and community partners to respond holistically to vulnerable families in their neighborhoods—through prevention, protection, accompaniment, and restoration—so that children can grow up safely in families.

Story of Impact: When Hope Seems Lost — Esperanza’s Story

Esperanza* is a courageous mother who recently escaped a violent situation with her children after years of escalating abuse. When the danger became life-threatening, she fled to safety and reached out for help. God placed her uniquely in our lives, and we have been able to walk closely with her through this process—connecting her with local services and guiding her through a difficult and often complex protection system.

With support from this fund, Esperanza is receiving assistance with safe housing, emotional healing, and practical stabilization as she works toward a peaceful future for her daughters. Even in the midst of fear and uncertainty, she is choosing to trust God and step into a new season of freedom and restoration.

We are accompanying her personally—ensuring she is supported emotionally, spiritually, and practically as she rebuilds her life.
