Advent Opportunities...Where There is No Advent

Advent Opportunities...Where There is No Advent

Imagine living somewhere that doesn’t celebrate Advent…where there were no celebrations because there was no knowledge of Jesus, His birth, life, death or resurrection. In reality there are many places like this in the world. In fact there are almost 2 billion people who live in places where the only hint of Jesus birth might be found in what a person knows about the Western holiday tradition of Christmas. Would you pray for those who live outside the Gospel?

At one time Cambodia was dark place, we’re so grateful to see the Gospel take root among our adopted people. Pray specifically that many would respond to the Good News message which is being presented during the Advent Season, specifically at the outreaches being done by Shalom Mission Cambodia!

Advent reminds us that Jesus came, Incarnate in the flesh, to bring Salvation (Luke 2:1-14)!  I’m thankful for the Advent Opportunities which God has given us here in Cambodia and around the world! What a joy to bring Immanuel to hard places among those who most desperately need Christ and the Truth of the Word of God. Here are some practical projects for this Advent season:

Christmas Outreach Worldwide – ACTION hosts evangelistic parties among the poor around the world during the month of December. What a great Advent Venture! Total (global) project cost is $50,000

Frontier People Fund – we believe the Great Commission is a clarion call to take the Gospel to all people, specifically those who live (and will die) without hearing about Jesus unless someone goes (Romans 10:14).  We’re in a strategic place with some years of experience which allows us to engage in a significant way. With 4,800 people groups without a witness for Jesus there are no shortage of opportunities. Would you consider giving a gift which will be used specifically for this purpose?

We’re blessed beyond measure by what we have in Christ, and blessed that we can engage in the most difficult work, in hard places, with thankfulness in a world that is hurting and do so despite the circumstances! Advent Opportunities abound and thank you for your faithful prayers and support which allow us to press ahead with all the God has put before us (Philippians 1:3-4)!
