Christmas Outreach Report from Colombia
This past Christmas, we desired that the children come to the program for the right reasons, so the gifts were a surprise. We are happy to share that more than 300 children and parents showed up for VBS & our Christmas Celebration.
VBS: Many youth served in different areas. We were greatly encouraged seeing their faithfulness, eagerness and growth this Christmas season. Every day, we rotated 3 groups of children and youth in between games, crafts, snacks and teaching. We taught on the Name of Jesus, Jesus as Savior, and Adoration. The children each wrote what they would like to give Jesus this Christmas (adoration). During game time we ran a 'store' where the children won fake money and could buy things like candy, balloons and stickers.
Christmas Celebration: This year we rented out the bottom floor for the younger children and parents and had all of the youth on the main floor. We taught about the true meaning of Christmas, sang songs, enjoyed lunch together and gave out the surprise presents. They were so thankful and excited.
