"Light the Way this Christmas" - ACTION Outreach 2021

Dear Friends of ACTION,

Hello! It is my joy today to greet you in the name of Jesus of Nazareth who is the “Light of the World.”

This month we’ve been praying for millions around the world as they celebrate the Hindu festival of light. We pray for them to seek and find True Light through the Good News of Jesus. We pray they will know, as Proverbs says, “The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble” (Proverbs 4:19 ESV).

In just a few weeks we’ll decorate our own houses with lights and candles signifying the coming of the Christmas season. You might say that’s our festival of light. The difference is the Lord Jesus himself. Without Him, Christmas is as dark as any other pagan festival.

What will you give the King for his birthday?

Every year ACTION workers around the world look for creative ways to shine the Light of Christ at Christmas time. Last year in Bangladesh for instance, brother Nikhil planned a Christmas dinner for 100 people in a village that had not yet heard the story of Christmas.

After dinner Nikhil told the story and presented the Good News of the King born in a manger. About thirty of them made a commitment to follow that risen and reigning King. Brother Nikhil and his team have been discipling  and baptizing them throughout this year. We hope that young church will present the Good News to others this Christmas. What a wonderful birthday present that would be for Jesus!

My family and I are praying about how to Light the Way around the world this Christmas through ACTION’s Christmas Outreach ministry. I want to invite you to join us. Even a small gift can help us shine the light deeper into a dark soul so those who walk in darkness will, once again, “see a Great Light” (Isaiah 9:2) and believe and be saved.

Won’t you join us?

Thank you!
