Seafarers Ministry Update and Prayer
There is a phrase well known to many: “We do not know what the future holds, but we know WHO holds the future!” This continues to be an important truth. Indeed, we do not know what the future holds. At this present moment, we are unable to make any concrete plans for future activities in our Seafarers Ministry. We have an assignment arranged for the Christmas/New Year 2020/2021. We have tentative plans to resume our Winter mission season in the ports of South Florida. We continue to communicate via email and social media with various crewmembers, some of whom have returned home and some who are still on board a ship somewhere. However, there is much uncertainty at this moment.
The situation in our world changes every day - sometimes by the moment. There remain many questions for which we do not yet have answers. However, this fact remains and to this we hold on tightly that our God does indeed know what the future holds. No matter what, He looks after His family. He also will provide for the sharing of His Love and the message of salvation in Jesus Christ. That includes the Seafarers Ministry. Although we may not, at this time, see the plan clearly, we trust that God will provide us with direction and purpose just as He always has done.
Grace and I ask that you continue to pray for the staff and crew of ships all over the world. Pray that our God will calm their hearts and give them reassuring hope in His providence. We also ask that you continue to pray for our Seafarers Ministry. Pray that our God will keep the doors of communication open for us and that He will provide renewed access and interaction, that His Word and His Love may continue to go out to as many as He provides to cross paths with us.
