Support a Child, Save a Future Feeding Program
From September of 2020 to June 2021, by the grace of God and with the help of The Peoples Church in Toronto and the Peoples Filipino Fellowship (PFF) group, we were able to ship a total of 62 “balikbayan” boxes of Gleaners dried vegetable/fruits and relief goods to Support a Child, Save a Future (SCSF) feeding program partners in the Philippines. Twenty-one of those boxes were allocated to pastors and volunteers in Albay and Catanduanes region who were affected by typhoon Ulysses. They received non-perishable foods along with used good clothing in November, February, and May. Our heartfelt thanks to all who joyfully gave in this time of need.
Earlier this month, we shipped another 8 boxes (500 bags) of Gleaners dried vegetables and fruits along with bags of almonds and hazelnuts. We plan to do another shipment in August, Lord willing.
Four possible new feeding sites from the areas of Antipolo City and Cavite may join our Gleaners feeding program this year. This feeding program will benefit 200+ children ages 4-12 years old.
With the leadership of Dave & Becky Majam and with the help of our feeding program partners, we are able to provide nutritious meals of Gleaners Vegetable Mix and Mana-Pak Rice to almost 2,500 malnourished and underprivileged children in 34 feeding sites all over the country. Despite the current situation, God continues to show His love, care, and compassion to those in need. Pray that as these children hear the Word of God, they will know Christ and experience Him in their lives.
